There can be no better way to define success other than what House MD episodes has achieved during its 5 seasons long run on the Fox Network. Series is accepted by people around the world with open arms and has attracted the appreciation of people of all age groups, ranging from kids to old ones. As of now, series is off air after the season 5 finale ‘Both Sides Now’. The 6th season of House MD has already been announced by the network also giving the surety of Hugh Laurie’s return. Hugh Laurie, as House, is the protagonist of the show and much of the credit of series’ success goes to him.

Though the science and technology has not left any corner of the world unaffected, it’s shocking that people still believe in the good luck charms and bad omens. And I am not even talking about the ordinary people but the very famous TV celebrity, Hugh Laurie. The man is afraid of buying a house in America. The only reason is that Hugh thinks that doing so would bring him bad luck.

It may seem unbelievable but is true. Laurie is convinced that investing money in a property won’t give him good results. In fact, he’s of the belief that House MD TV show would continue only until he doesn’t deposit money for buying a house. He believes that as soon as he would buy a house in America, the very successful show ‘House MD’ would be canceled.

All this has made him to rent an apartment. Rest of his family, including wife Jo, three children, Charlie-20, Bill-18, and daughter Rebecca-15, are in London. It’s definitely hard for him to stay away from his children.

Here is what House says “I worry about parenting at this sort of distance, but they are being so generous and so cool about it that - I mean, it might be because they’re English, and they won’t reveal their psychological damage until they’re in their late forties”.

Since the beginning of the fifth season of House tv show, there have been rumors of a very surprising happening on series. Probability was that the plot twists would leave the audience shocked and it actually happened. And, the Fox network started giving promotional clips to sow the seed of curiosity in the minds of watchers before the airing of the episode, not showing any clear way. So, everybody was excited to see what special would happen! And, the beginning of the episode entitled ‘Simple Explanation’ left everybody stunned when Dr. Lawrence Kutner was discovered dead. Kal Penn was portraying Dr. Lawrence Kutner on House and he joined the series as the new member of the diagnostic team of House in the ninth episode of the fourth season of series.

In this episode, we saw that the team dealt with the case of an older woman. The lady had been tending to her dying husband and was later stricken with an unknown disease. On the other hand, it was an emotional trauma when fate hit one member of their team, Dr. Lawrence Kutner. When Remy “Thirteen” Hadley and Eric Foreman went to see the missing doctor, since the beginning of the episode, they found him dead on floor…. And no apparent reason was there to explain the death.  House was not ready to accept it as a suicide!

The way he went out of the show was really very surprising and shocking as well. Actually, the man has decided to join as assistant director at the Office of Public Liaison at the White House. He was the vocal supporter of Barack Obama during his presidential campaign and would now help the administration with entertainment and arts groups. His decision forced the writers to show him the way out. But, I guess it was not the right way to do so, there must be some reasons behind things, and illogical stuff sometimes hurts the fans.

All my previous posts about ‘House’ during 2008 have been positive enough and this is what it deserves. I’ve been watching House from season one, if not the episode one and Hugh Laurie had always impressed me with the way he appears on ‘House’ episodes. Hugh’s appearance as Dr. Gregory House made him secure a place in the list of the most paid and the most liked TV actors. The fifth season of House MD is the best one, at least for me. However, I never felt unsatisfied or turned off after watching the episodes of House but still throughout the series’ run, there’re some things that were surely off-center. But, the ever improving quality and things which kept on getting better and better every time, tied us to the show.

And, the sweetened episode of the fifth season was ‘Birthmarks’, aired on October 14, 2008. I liked it very, very much. We saw that House’s father had died and his mother was calling him to attend his funeral. When House didn’t answer the phone, she called Cuddy instead and told her about the funeral. Ultimately, House was forced to go to his father’s funeral regardless of his disinclination. On the Princeton Plainsboro, the team was seen handling the case of a young woman. Lady collapsed and blood started coming out of her mouth when she was in quest for her birth parents. House stay connected with the team via the mobile and helped them with diagnosing the girl. Wilson was driving him to his father’s funeral. As the episode came to an end, we came know how House and Wilson met for the very first time. Wilson announced that he’s coming back to work at the Hospital. It’s very nice to watch House dictating his team through phone and them following his orders.

‘Joy to the World’, was the eleventh and the latest episode of fifth season of ‘House MD’. As the episode began, we saw that it’s the Christmas pageant at a school and a group of naughty old students was planning to embarrass their teacher. The one who was not willing to do so was Natalie. When they went on stage and started singing, Natalie got feeble headed and sang out the name of the teacher, when others had stopped singing. It resulted in her vomiting and collapsing and she was rushed to the hospital. Cuddy turned the case over to House and his team.

Later, Taub discovered a Christmas present for House but he threw it angrily even knowing that it was a valuable antique medical text. House had doubts that the other students pranked Natalie and when Chase and Kutner talked to the students, they came to know that the students slipped her mushrooms. Kutner and Taub went to the hospital to get the mushrooms and when they checked Natalie’s locker, they found a bottle of painkillers. Later, it came into light why she was taking painkillers.

Next, Wilson recognized the present and admitted that it belonged to Irene Alder, a patient whom House saved in 2001. But lately, he confessed that it’s the same present he gave to House one year ago. Taub told House that Cuddy gave him the present as she loved him. Well, on one side, presents’ war was going between House, Wilson and Cuddy and on other side; Thirteen went to see Janice who refuses to be Foreman’s guinea pig.

Taub told House that a worker at the soup kitchen had tuberculosis and had same symptoms as Natalie had. House went into the clinic and came to know that Whitney, the first patient, was pregnant. The lady claimed that she’s a virgin and it was enough for House to lose his nerve. Thirteen talked to Forman about Janice and when he refused to apologize, she accused of acting like House. Whitney and her boyfriend insisted that they never had sex and decided to undergo a paternity test. As the episode came to an end, we came to know that teen was suffering with postpartum Eclampsia and was only expected to live a few more days. Dr. Lisa Cuddy discovered that her baby was in serious condition and returned the baby to her. In the end of the episode, Cuddy was supposed to adopt the baby and Foreman and Thirteen shared a passionate kiss.

House MD is one of my personal favorite series. The show is currently running into its fifth season and I have been a regular viewer of the series. Honestly, I missed out on the first season and have followed it from second season onwards. But since then, it has become one series that I prefer the most. Frankly, it is Hugh Laurie, whom I like the most in the series. It is his works and his friendship with Wilson that I enjoy watching the most. Besides, the cases that they take up, being a doctor, on the show their personal life is what, that is of interest to me.

With the series currently into its fifth season, one thing that I would like to say is that the series has got better with each season. Till now, this season has probably turned out as the best one. No, I am not saying that the others were not good, but just that this one is better than the previous one. Just like the way you can say that second was better than the first. This season, till date the house has taken up number medical cases and has provided solace to many. The best thing about the series is the way the treat their patients. Now, in the last episode of the series, the way house team goes to the house of the patient, because he refuses to take ailment in the hospital, was just brilliant. What is also amazing is that they have treatment even for the strangest disease on earth.

Anyways, on the whole it is a remarkable series. The best thing about the series is that you never know what they have for you in the next episode. I just hope that this series which is so different from the other doctor series keeps entertaining us for a long-long time.

Jesse Spencer, an actor, these days, is totally convinced that he can be a doctor in real life instead of an actor. Spencer plays the role of Dr. Robert Chase, who is a specialist in intensive care in the Series ‘House MD’. He is an Australian actor and belongs to a family of doctors. Jesse has two surgeon brothers and a sister who is a medical student. This star considers himself the black sheep of his family as he is the only one, in his family, who is not a doctor.

Spencer is also of the view that he kind of likes the blood, guts and gore. He says that he loves it when they draw his blood. He says that he very well knows what he is talking about, so he likes to offer his own opinion. But his doctors tell him, ‘Uh, no come on Jesse, you’re an actor.’”

But Jesse you really are an actor. And I guess, we as fans like you as an actor. And one more thing while you are an actor you can play any role and be whatever you want to be. Now, isn’t that fun? And here is request from your fans, we want to see more of you as an actor and we love you the way you are. So no changes in career, please.

‘Whatever It Takes’ is the name of an episode of ‘House MD’. But it really suits me, as I want ‘House MD’ no matter what it takes. Although a very few days are left for its come back, but still I can’t help watching its old episodes. I just can’t resist and that’s why I am here today to watch some more episodes of ‘House MD’. Today, I switched on my Laptop just to check an important mail, but this impossible for me to come online and not see ‘House MD’.

So I did just that and downloaded this episode today and found House flirting with a lady doctor in CSI. You don’t believe? It’s true. House is deputed in CSI in this episode, as one agent of CSI is ill and they fail to understand what’s wrong with him him. So they call Dr. House. There Dr. House meets Dr. Samira Terzi and starts flirting with her whenever he gets chance while treating the agent John.

I liked the House’s style of impressing ladies in this episode, as Dr. Terzi is not ready to tell many details about agent’s past, But Dr. House makes her do that with his buttering. Dr. House does the same thing in this episode which he is best known for. He treats John in his own bold ways while hiding it from the other doctors and even puts John’s life in danger once. John becomes non-responsive due to House’s treatment, but finally Dr. House brings him back to conscious state and catches Dr. Terzi’s lie about the residence of John. She had given him incorrect information. Eventually House, as usual argues with other doctors and imposes his way of treatment and John is finally saved.
I laughed at the scene, where Cuddy doesn’t believe, like you guys, that Dr. House was in CSI and she gives him another punishment of 24 hours of clinic duty. You know what’s funny about it? Well Cuddy’s character in House MD is just to punish others and especially Dr. House. Have you seen her doing anything else in the hospital? I haven’t, at least.

Today I am back home earlier than usual. I was today unable to talk to any of my friends as they were all busy at work. So I thought a way to pass my time by watching some TV shows and switched on my lap top. I am more interested in watching those TV shows which I liked a lot but they are now off the screen than the insipid ones telecasted by TV channels these days.

Some are preparing to return with the next season, others are never coming back. So I have a pretty long list of such shows and ‘House MD’ is the one of them. Though it’s coming back in September but still I can’t help watching its previous episodes. So today I downloaded the most interesting episode of the last season named ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’.

This episode is interesting and fun filled. You know our Dr. Gregory House, he can never be convinced. In this episode too, a patient, who is husband of a nurse, is admitted to the emergency room after he collapses. He is so nice and never gets angry so Mr. House eyes his cool and nice temperament with suspicious. He says his personality change is due to syphilis. Nobody else agrees with Dr. House as usual. But he proves to be right. Dr. House plays a trick by swapping his blood sample to make Cameron and Chase believe that he is also suffering from syphilis. He does this to escape from doing paper work allotted by Cuddy. Though, he gets caught in the end of the episode for this smartness. You know what the funny thing was, he pretends that he remains bad tempered due to syphilis and after acting like consuming penicillin, he starts behaving nicely. This mischief is tracked by Cuddy and he gets punished.

The thing which always attracts me to watch this show is arguments between House and Amber about Wilson. House wants to spend more time with Wilson. For this indiscipline, Cuddy punishes both of them and they are instructed to clean up the bedridden patients together. I laughed at that scene where Wilson is laughing at both of them. The show is like seriousness coated with fun.

Today I saw the Emmy list for the nominees for ‘Outstanding lead actor in drama series’, and there I spotted my favorite Hugh Laurie’s name. I am very happy to see my favorite actor as a nominee for Emmy. But I am little doubtful because he got nominated twice in the past two years for the same title. Once in 2005 and again in 2007 but he could not win the title. But, I am glad that Emmy’s jury found him deserving enough to be part of the race this year.

But being a fan I will get satisfaction only when he will win the title. Come on, he is trying hard for years and doing exceptionally well in the role of Dr. Gregory House. First of all House is a different kind of drama and doesn’t present much personal stuff like other medical dramas. So I think its best in the category and the Dr. Gregory’s role gives the storyline the strength of pure and hard-core medical drama which is closer to the reality.

Dr. House is the strongest character in House MD and the whole story revolves around him and especially Laurie’s tough looks and excellent acting adds to the character. He makes that character come alive and nobody can judge that he is the same comedian as in ‘101 Dalmatians’ and ‘Stuart Little’.

I really like him more in the serious role rather than in the comic roles, but I must say that he owns such a wonderful personality that it suits both tough looks as well as the funny one. I’ll keep my fingers crossed on the Award’s day and I wish that he wins the title. At least to me he is really an outstanding actor in the House MD. Let’s see what happens?

It’s wonderful, I was checking out the list of Emmy nominees released by Academy of Television Arts and sciences and found ‘House MD‘ on the list of best drama series. But in the same category, there is another medical drama, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. I think chances of House alone to be on the list were more. I think ‘House MD’ is far better in quality than ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Dr. House’s strange and unacceptable ways of treatment makes the show different and more happening than the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Moreover ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is not a pure medical drama as it concentrates more on the personal lives of the doctors and interns and their relationships with other doctors and their patients. Exploring interpersonal relations is part of other dramas too, so there is not much difference except that this one is played out in a hospital.

On the other hand ‘House MD’ is a real medical drama as most of the times it deals with critical patients and viewer gets involved with the each and every detail of his disease down to the point when Dr. House finds solution then eventually the treatment of the patient. Moreover the case is wrapped up in a single episode.

There is no need to hang on until the next episode to know about the developments of that case. Each episode of the show is different from the previous episodes and complete in itself. At the same time they are part of the one big whole. One can miss one episode without losing out much on drama.
I still download and watch the all episodes of House every weekend and never get bored of watching it again and again. I truly believe that it should win an Emmy Award this year. I am eagerly waiting for the next season.

I can write dozens of words about Hugh Laurie playing Dr. Gregory in ‘House‘. I am a huge fan of his especially for his role as Dr. House. He really deserves this praise. Yesterday I was .reading in news about him, as being a fan I keep a close eye on his activities. Believe me, I found many other fans like me, and that included media persons too, who keep on digging more about Laurie.

I think I have some special connection with Laurie I was born in 1982 and he started his career in the same year. In Hollywood he is called the actor with posh voice. I liked him in the movie ‘101 Dalmatians’, as Jasper, who was hired to steal puppies. But he finally succeeded in winning hearts in 2004 only for his role of Dr. Gregory.

I read something interesting about his auditions for this role yesterday. David Shore, the show creator, shared a bit with the reporters. While auditioning for the role of Dr. House, Laurie assumed American accent, which was so convincing that executive producer Bryan Singer, who was unaware at the time about Laurie’s nationality (Hugh Laurie is a British actor ), pointed to him as an example of just the kind of compelling American actor he had been looking for. Rest, as we all know, is history.

I also read in another article about Laurie that the role was for 34 years old Dr. House and the show producers never wanted House to be young. So they were not sure about Laurie’s selection as his looks are too chiseled. But see, we can’t imagine Dr’ House’s role played by somebody else, in fact nobody else will suit the role. He is simply perfect. Do you guys agree with me?

Although everybody is waiting for the season four to come, but fans of the show have voted the show as one of the top shows in the list of Prime Time Shows list. The show comes at number 8 with the record of 8.63 million viewers. The list is based upon the Nielson Media Research for June 16-22. ‘America’s Got Talent’ is ahead of it with 12.78 million viewers. But ‘House MD’ is from a different category of TV shows. I had the view that medical drama would be few people’s choice but the data opened my eyes.

It’s good that beside me, there is a huge number of people too who like the show and keep voting for its popularity. I like Dr. Gregory House’s character the most. I like his unique ways of diagnosis. Sometimes he appears a bit harsh and rude, but I like his unconventional and bold ways of treatment. Moreover he makes quick and right decisions. He goes to any extent while he is on duty and can solve those cases too which other doctors can’t understand. His character has been portrayed as one with dominant personality; after all he is a boss. No doubt Hugh Laurie is playing it to perfection.

I personally like the character of Dr. House in the show, as he just increases the heart beat of the viewers sitting at home along with the patient on screen. The viewers keeps biting their nails whenever he is taking risks with the patient’s life and finally succeeds and proves every that person in the hospital wrong who objected over his so called unsafe ways of treatment. Sometimes I wonder whether the real life doctors too have this kind of adventurous routine in their hospitals. I am desperately waiting to see Dr. House once again.

A little more wait is ahead. ‘House’ is going to intrude our living rooms on September 16 at 8 pm. Though many fans of the show were not so happy with the change in time slot, but I don’t think an hour’s gap makes a big difference. Anyways we will talk today about the stars of the show and what they are doing while House is off the air. Obviously they must be eager for the reaction of audience about their latest work in House. It makes me feel good to think that we are all waiting together.

Well, stars of the show are busy with their film projects Dr. Gregory( Hugh Laurie), Dr. House himself, who stood fourth in ‘Radio Times’ list of British actors with the worst American accents, is busy in Production of ‘Monster vs. Aliens’. Next on the chart is Jennifer Morrison, who plays Allison Cameron on House, is portraying the role of Winona Kirk, mother of the first captain of the Enterprise, James T. Kirk (shiver me timbers - imagining Morrison as William Shatner’s mom).
Among the ‘House’s’ new interns, Olivia Wilde, known as ‘Thirteen’ on the series, is appearing in the role of Princess Inanna, in ‘Year One’ which is going to be released in the next year. The shooting for the movie has been wrapped up and post production work is gong on.

I have heard rumors about the show that Amber will be alive when the next season opens just to die again. I don’t understand the sense of keeping her alive then. But may be its just to create an interesting scenario, which will hook up viewers for more and more episodes. There are speculation that fifth season is bringing every thing fresh and different. It’s time to say bye but keep in touch for more updates about the show.

Don’t take me wrong reading the title says. I’ve not seen House’s head that closely that I would like or dislike it. Instead I am talking about the episode named House’s Head of the season four. The episode is solely based upon House. He meets with an accident due to a drunk driver of the bus. He gets head injuries and yet he saves that driver and treats other passengers with the help of other fellow doctors like Amber, Chase and Kutner.

After this accident he loses his memory for a while and he can recall only a few things from his life prior to the accident. He recalls that the driver was drinking at a bar and somebody from the bar told him that he should not drive the bus. While treating the driver, Dr. House makes a mistake which is sorted out with the help of Thirteen.
Interestingly, in the same episode, Dr. House gets intuitive and after having a cardiac attack and being saved by his team, he tells Wilson that Amber is in danger. Actually he had seen her in the fragmented memory bits of accident. Very brave of House I must say who not only survived the big accident but also treated other passengers. That is why he is my favorite and I want to see him in action as soon as possible. And I know it’s not possible yet. Anyway I liked this episode so much and I told many of my friends about it. We had a week long gossip on this particular episode.

Well from my gang, I, Michael and Chris are huge fans of Dr. House and we never miss his single episode. Other people in my gang, including girls, like Amber and Wilson more than Dr. House. So this difference of opinion, stretch our debates for hours. Whenever we get together, we can’t resist talking about House MD. And I can’t resist watching its episodes whenever I am online.

Living the Dream was a terrific episode with many humorous and introspective moments.

Okay, episode had some good individual scenes and overall it was good. What we had on this episode? Three storylines, first was typical, second was a little bit old, and the third never up to its potential. The biggest bit of this episode was House’s kidnapping.

My favorite scene was the differential by Soap opera when House treats that famous soap opera star. He believes that patient’s in serious condition. But there are no symptoms to show that. Thirteen’s dialogue was superb, “I think I dated that nurse, though’. Foreman is trying to reassure Cuddy and yeah, of course, has done a great job keeping House in line so far. What I liked most about the storyline was Amber’s diagnosis about Wilson who does everything for the woman he’s with.

You know what I like most about Gregory House? His ability to finely tune the humor, the irony, and the seriousness in his character. Lisa and House played well and finally got how much she believed in him. So, the episode was an unforgettable one. My best picks from the episode:

Dr. Cuddy: I’m taking back the TV.
House: I saved his life!
Dr. Cuddy: That wasn’t the deal.
House: But the contract clearly stated “no takesy-backsies.”

Dr. Foreman: You kidnapped him?
House: It’s sweet that I haven’t lost the ability to surprise you.

The first image we saw on episode was- a picket line. Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital’s nurses are on strike and meanwhile, Jeff, a nurse’s husband collapses. That nurse and her husband are forced to cross the picket line.

House discovers a guy in the severely under-staffed emergency room who’s not angry at having to wait. At that moment, House decides that his constant niceness is a symptom that must be treated. He takes the case and the man tests positive for syphilis. On the other hand, Kumar decides that if niceness is a symptom, then, meanness should also be. He finds phial of House’s blood and tests it.

Results are positive with syphilis and Kumar tells everyone about it including Chase and Cameron. Actually, House doesn’t have syphilis; he just placed the vial there in order to see if the kids would test it. House completely enjoys pretending to take his syphilis medication. Amber and House fight over Wilson and take the matter to Cuddy. According to her, House is wasting his time and performance reviews are due.

For me House-Wilson-Amber triangle was enjoyable. Kumar realizes that House doesn’t have syphilis after all, but a parasite that gives syphilis tests a false positive. Chase’s attempting to find if Cameron slept with House. House and Amber are left changing bed pans, while Wilson just simmers. You can watch the episode here for free.

House MD is coming back on April 28 but we don’t have any latest info about the episode. Let’ talk something apart from that. There’s no doubt about the success of series and every TV freak dotes on House MD. I, too, never missed even a single episode from the series .

The show is a major international success but you know when it started filming the pilot episode, even the actors were not confident about the success. One of the major roles on series, Hugh Laurie was so unconfident that he stayed in a hotel for the first one year of filming. He says, “At the time (when the pilot episode was made) I blindly signed up thinking it wouldn’t go anywhere.” He reveals that everyone was signing leases on houses and I told them “You’re mad, we’re only going to last a month.’ I literally didn’t unpack.”

Hugh Laurie is playing Dr. Gregory House on the series who’s a ruthless and antisocial doctor. But now he himself agrees that the show is one of the very best shows aired on TV till date. Laurie also received two Golden Globe Awards for his performance of the Show.

Happy Birthday to ‘House MD’ star Jennifer Morrison, one of the prettiest and cutest women in the world. Jennifer plays Dr. Allison Cameron on the series, who has conflicting feelings about House.

This lady was born on April 12, 1979 in Chicago, IL. Along with her TV appearances, she has also appeared in small roles in Hollywood films. She also starred in Urban Legends: ‘Final Cut’ and ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’. In 2004, she auditioned for the role in FOX drama ‘House MD’ and the show, of course, turned out to be the smashing-hit and Jennifer soon found herself experiencing a level of fame that was entirely new to her.

It has been officially announced that there will be four new episodes and season will end on May 19.

In House MD, villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients.

House is a maverick physician and loves to solve the incomprehensible cases which other doctors can’t understand. His medical team includes Dr. Eric, a neurologist, who has no desire to become like House; Dr. Allison Cameron, an immunologist, who has conflicting feelings about House; Dr. Robert Chase, a specialist in intensive care. House’s best friend Dr. Jams Wilson is an oncology specialist, who helps him on a regular basis. House’s boss is Lisa Cuddy who often opposes his improper methods, but admits that he is the best doctor on her staff.

The most important thing for Dr. House is the life of his patient, for saving the life of his patients he can do anything like breaking rules, taking risks that other doctors would never do. It seems that his methods are controversial but his results speak for themselves.
