Today I saw the Emmy list for the nominees for ‘Outstanding lead actor in drama series’, and there I spotted my favorite Hugh Laurie’s name. I am very happy to see my favorite actor as a nominee for Emmy. But I am little doubtful because he got nominated twice in the past two years for the same title. Once in 2005 and again in 2007 but he could not win the title. But, I am glad that Emmy’s jury found him deserving enough to be part of the race this year.

But being a fan I will get satisfaction only when he will win the title. Come on, he is trying hard for years and doing exceptionally well in the role of Dr. Gregory House. First of all House is a different kind of drama and doesn’t present much personal stuff like other medical dramas. So I think its best in the category and the Dr. Gregory’s role gives the storyline the strength of pure and hard-core medical drama which is closer to the reality.

Dr. House is the strongest character in House MD and the whole story revolves around him and especially Laurie’s tough looks and excellent acting adds to the character. He makes that character come alive and nobody can judge that he is the same comedian as in ‘101 Dalmatians’ and ‘Stuart Little’.

I really like him more in the serious role rather than in the comic roles, but I must say that he owns such a wonderful personality that it suits both tough looks as well as the funny one. I’ll keep my fingers crossed on the Award’s day and I wish that he wins the title. At least to me he is really an outstanding actor in the House MD. Let’s see what happens?

It’s wonderful, I was checking out the list of Emmy nominees released by Academy of Television Arts and sciences and found ‘House MD’ on the list of best drama series. But in the same category, there is another medical drama, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. I think chances of House alone to be on the list were more. I think ‘House MD’ is far better in quality than ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Dr. House’s strange and unacceptable ways of treatment makes the show different and more happening than the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Moreover ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is not a pure medical drama as it concentrates more on the personal lives of the doctors and interns and their relationships with other doctors and their patients. Exploring interpersonal relations is part of other dramas too, so there is not much difference except that this one is played out in a hospital.

On the other hand ‘House MD’ is a real medical drama as most of the times it deals with critical patients and viewer gets involved with the each and every detail of his disease down to the point when Dr. House finds solution then eventually the treatment of the patient. Moreover the case is wrapped up in a single episode.

There is no need to hang on until the next episode to know about the developments of that case. Each episode of the show is different from the previous episodes and complete in itself. At the same time they are part of the one big whole. One can miss one episode without losing out much on drama.

I still download and watch the all episodes of House every weekend and never get bored of watching it again and again. I truly believe that it should win an Emmy Award this year. I am eagerly waiting for the next season.

Although everybody is waiting for the season four to come, but fans of the show have voted the show as one of the top shows in the list of Prime Time Shows list. The show comes at number 8 with the record of 8.63 million viewers. The list is based upon the Nielson Media Research for June 16-22. ‘America’s Got Talent’ is ahead of it with 12.78 million viewers. But ‘House MD’ is from a different category of TV shows. I had the view that medical drama would be few people’s choice but the data opened my eyes.

It’s good that beside me, there is a huge number of people too who like the show and keep voting for its popularity. I like Dr. Gregory House’s character the most. I like his unique ways of diagnosis. Sometimes he appears a bit harsh and rude, but I like his unconventional and bold ways of treatment. Moreover he makes quick and right decisions. He goes to any extent while he is on duty and can solve those cases too which other doctors can’t understand. His character has been portrayed as one with dominant personality; after all he is a boss. No doubt Hugh Laurie is playing it to perfection.

I personally like the character of Dr. House in the show, as he just increases the heart beat of the viewers sitting at home along with the patient on screen. The viewers keeps biting their nails whenever he is taking risks with the patient’s life and finally succeeds and proves every that person in the hospital wrong who objected over his so called unsafe ways of treatment. Sometimes I wonder whether the real life doctors too have this kind of adventurous routine in their hospitals. I am desperately waiting to see Dr. House once again.

A little more wait is ahead. ‘House’ is going to intrude our living rooms on September 16 at 8 pm. Though many fans of the show were not so happy with the change in time slot, but I don’t think an hour’s gap makes a big difference. Anyways we will talk today about the stars of the show and what they are doing while House is off the air. Obviously they must be eager for the reaction of audience about their latest work in House. It makes me feel good to think that we are all waiting together.

Well, stars of the show are busy with their film projects Dr. Gregory( Hugh Laurie), Dr. House himself, who stood fourth in ‘Radio Times’ list of British actors with the worst American accents, is busy in Production of ‘Monster vs. Aliens’. Next on the chart is Jennifer Morrison, who plays Allison Cameron on House, is portraying the role of Winona Kirk, mother of the first captain of the Enterprise, James T. Kirk (shiver me timbers - imagining Morrison as William Shatner’s mom).
Among the ‘House’s’ new interns, Olivia Wilde, known as ‘Thirteen’ on the series, is appearing in the role of Princess Inanna, in ‘Year One’ which is going to be released in the next year. The shooting for the movie has been wrapped up and post production work is gong on.

I have heard rumors about the show that Amber will be alive when the next season opens just to die again. I don’t understand the sense of keeping her alive then. But may be its just to create an interesting scenario, which will hook up viewers for more and more episodes. There are speculation that fifth season is bringing every thing fresh and different. It’s time to say bye but keep in touch for more updates about the show.
